The relationship between employer and employee plays a very important role in the performans of the organization. Both of employer and employee side have some responsibilities towards each other. In my opinion, employer has more important responsibilities toward the employees.
The most important responsibility of employer is to pay the wage of employee because of his/her labor. In Turkey, salaries are paid monthly. Date of salary is depends on the companies. Some of them pay the salary at the beginning the months, someothers pay the middle of the months. But the employer must pay all of the labor of employee. In the other hand, employee fulfill his/her work. He/She must worth his/her saly. He/She must care of his/her working time.
In addition, in my believe, employee must get some special rights. Ist guard must be provided by employers. It develops the loyalty of employee and the performans of employee. We know "Yemek Sepeti" (a compony in Turkey, means "meal box") disributed $27 million to its employee. It doesn't mean that this must be related with money. It means that employer cares or minds the employee.
Furthermore, another important thing is that employers must make better working conditions of workers. If a worker works in a good conditions, this affects the profitability of the firm positively. Who doesn't want to be in a good conditions?
Furthermore, there is a responsibility of employe which comes from laws. It is job security. Employer must ensure the safety of the employee. The firm must supply personel protecttive equipment about the work. And the empoloyee must use these equipments while making his work. İt is responsibility double sided.Industrial working accidents are important problem for componies. This can cause death and loose of prestige of componies. There was an accident in Turkey which occurs in a pit and results about 200 workers death. It was in 23th of March in 2004.
I think one of the most important thing for emploees is annual leave. In our laws, it says "employee must choose when he/she use his/her annual leave and employee can use his/her annual leave completely. Employer must ensure this. It is the most natural right for workers. In Turkey, we have 14 working days for annual leave. We can use it completely without seperating by talking with employer.
In conclusion, employers and employee have some responsibilities. But the responsibilities of employers are more that the employees'. I think, employer responsibilities are key for workers labor and performans of organization. For this, employers must protect the rights of employers.
